Psyllium husks
Healthy dietary fiber to regulate digestion
Psyllium husks are a natural source of dietary fiber that can have a positive effect on the digestion of dogs and cats. Due to their large amount of mucilage and high water-binding capacity, the hulls can have a regulating effect on both constipation and diarrhea by contributing to normal bowel function.
Psyllium husks have a satiating effect
In addition to the positive effect on the gastrointestinal tract, psyllium husks can also have a positive effect in other areas. Since the hulls can bind four to five times their own volume of water and thus swell extremely strongly, they contribute to the fact that your quadruped gets a faster and longer feeling of satiety. This can be a great advantage, especially when planning weight loss or satisfying gluttonous dogs.
The ideal alternative for fussy dogs and cats
If your four-legged friend does not want to eat his vegetable/fruit ration either pureed or cooked, you can also feed psyllium husks as an alternative. Since vegetables and fruits are primarily fed for their fiber and not for their nutrients, this is possible without any problems. In addition, soaked psyllium husks can be given as a support when feeding raw meaty bones (RFK) to aid digestion.
Small seeds, big effect
The psyllium seeds owe their name to their appearance, because the fruits of the Indian plantain - or Indian psyllium - are small, reddish-brown shiny and remind in their appearance strongly of the small pests. But don't worry, fleas and psyllium husks really have nothing more than that in common, because the husks, unlike the parasites, have many positive properties. As a rule, psyllium husks are well accepted and tolerated by all four-legged friends.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION
Feeding recommendation per day:
Dogs up to 10 kg: 1/2 - 2 tsp.
Dogs from 20 kg: 2 tsp - 1 tbsp.
Cats: 1/2 tsp
As a rule, psyllium husks should swell in water (approx. 10 ml per tsp) for at least 30 minutes before feeding. If your dog suffers from diarrhea, you can also add smaller amounts dry.
We recommend a course of six weeks. The feeding quantity should be increased slowly over a period of five to seven days so that the gastrointestinal tract can get used to the fiber.
The amount of feces may increase significantly during administration. If the feces become too soft, the feeding amount of psyllium husks should be slightly reduced again.
This product is a single feed for dogs and cats. Please always provide your four-legged friend with sufficient water during feeding.
