Seaweed meal is a natural product obtained from the seaweed Ascophyllum Nodosum. The trace element iodine contained in it in high quantities contributes to the production of thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) and thus to normal thyroid function. It also supports the maintenance of healthy skin and normal nervous system function. A deficiency of iodine can lead to severe metabolic disorders and cognitive impairment.

Caution: For animals with thyroid problems, specific feeding should only be done after consultation with a veterinarian due to the high iodine content of seaweed meal. In general, when feeding raw materials with a high iodine content, such as fish or other additives, care should be taken to adjust the dosage of seaweed meal.
