Natural Omasum/Leaf Tripe

The omasum/leaf tripe is the third gastro-oesophageal vestibule (after the rumen and the reticulum) of a ruminant animal. Its mucous membrane is set up for the task of "skimming". It squeezes the liquid out of the mash in a purely mechanical manner. Consequently, the omasum/leaf tripe possesses a relatively fine texture, and the residues of the fodder are broken down more finely than in the rumen.

Extremely healthy and particularly useful: With regard to the production of this particular eBARF product, the omasum is merely shaken out in a coarse manner. It is not washed. Consequently, the nutrients are retained in their entirety, and the vitamins, minerals and bacteria can be utilised by the dog. A further advantage relates to the extremely low fat content of the omasum – it is thoroughly compatible with the goal of weight reduction.
